Hotel Room
About this Showcase
Nice and cozy hotel room
Points of interest
AC controls
Touch the screen to wake it up; the photo shows what everything does. Setting it to 16 °C with the window open is between you and the planet.
TV
The video covers the basics, from the remote to the inputs. The remote lives on the nightstand. If it doesn't, check under the pillow. It's always under the pillow.
Emergency lever
Pull only in an emergency. It calls for help, not for more towels.
Photo: Beogradjanka
The "Belgrade Lady": 24 floors and 101 metres of dark glass, watching over the city centre since 1974. Officially it's Palata Beograd, but nobody calls it that.
Painting: Downtown, as Seen by a Pigeon
Streets, rooftops and one suspicious parked object, all from a pigeon's point of view. The pigeon declined to be named.
Painting: Origami With Ambition
It started as a sheet of paper with big plans, and it has been reaching for the ceiling ever since.
Phone
A telephone with a cord, for the full retro experience. Dial 9 for reception and 0 for an outside line.
Sockets
Power for everything you brought, plus USB ports, so all you need to remember is the cable.
Light switches
There are switches all around the room, so you never have to cross it in the dark. Working out which one does what is a classic first-night game.
Bathtub
Built for long soaks. Bring a book, not your phone.
Shower cabin
For mornings when the bathtub feels like too much commitment.
Slippers
Yours for the stay. One size fits approximately everyone.
Cosmetics
Shampoo, shower gel and friends, refilled daily. Taking the little bottles home is a time-honoured tradition.
